If you\u2019ve never been to Romania and would like to see its amazing painted monasteries on your own, you should be ready for a rather difficult journey, as they are unreachable by public transport and you won\u2019t find any detailed explanation in English. That’s why we turned to hellobucovina.com to give us a tour around four most famous monasteries (Sucevita, Moldovita, Voronet and Humor). The guide took us from the hotel in Suceava on a comfortable car and drove us directly to the monasteries making interesting commentaries about the history of the region we were driving through. On the site we explored each painting and were provided with an interesting story about its origin and spiritual meaning.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The next day we left Suceava for Brasov in company of our wonderful guide and did a 300+ killometers trip stopping by an ancient fortress, a lovely monastery, a picturesque gorge and a lake up in the mountains.
\nAt the end of our journey we had only the best memories and a better understanding of the Romanian culture and history.
