Eastern Moldavia, the Republic of Moldova and the Pridnestrovian Republic: one could hardly imagine a better way of taking in as much as possible of the historic Moldavian Kingdom and its heritage! Start in Suceava with its fortress, then go on across the countryside to the aristocratic residence of the Sturdzas at Ruginoasa, have lunch in Iasi with its picturesque, hundred year old residential quarters and imposing urban aedifice, then cross the Prut and the Moldovan countryside en route to Chisinau. Start your other day with a glass of wine and some local delicaces in the cool atmosphere of Cricova Cellars, then go on and splurge in the bucolic countryside at Orheiul Vechi, with the timeless cave monastery there and that apparently surreal bend created by River Raut. Cross the de facto border into the world’s last Soviet republic, that of the Pridnestrovian Republic. Walk the streets, be explained the billboards and history, cast an eye at the remains of Tighina Fortress and enjoy the vivid spirit of the locals. The end your tour in Chisinau, Iasi or, upon request, in Chernivcy (Ukraine).<\/p>\n
