Allow a not very hurried drive\u00a0up Prislop Pass and down into yet another traditional region of the country, the Maramures.

\nlaughters.

Explore the heritage merchant houses in Bistrita, the excellent Secession\u00a0style grand properties in Targu Mures and end the day in the gem, still inhabited fortress of\u00a0Sighisoara, staying overnight right within the strong walled town.

Then\u00a0take the stairs up the cliff where Bran Castle is located on the former Wallachian border. Go on\u00a0walking up the hill where Rasnov Fortress lies commanding a fine view across the
\nneighbourhood and the mountains above.

End the day with an exploratory walk across the Old Town and a peek at the\u00a0pyramid-like Palace of the Parliament.
