The monasteries are rather difficult to visit without a car, so unless you have a few days to take local buses around the area a tour is the best option. we had a lovely, sunny day, and a friendly group which made for a lot of fun.

Chip organized my Classic Tour of the Painted Monasteries on very short notice. My guide Bogdon was fantastic and could not have been more accommodating. The tour exceeded my expections.

Ciprian, our guide, gave a good tour through the city of Cernauti in Ucraine. It was great to see the old Austrian-Habsburg city characterized by the buildings designed by the Czech architect Josef Hlávka. Incredible that this flourishing city has lost this from the start of WW-II.
