The next day we left Suceava for Brasov in company of our wonderful guide and did a 300+ killometers trip stopping by an ancient fortress, a lovely monastery, a picturesque gorge and a lake up in the mountains.

If you’ve never been to Romania and would like to see its amazing painted monasteries on your own, you should be ready for a rather difficult journey, as they are unreachable by public transport and you won’t find any detailed explanation in English. That’s why we turned to hellobucovina.com to give us a tour around four most famous monasteries (Sucevita, Moldovita, Voronet and Humor). The guide took us from the hotel in Suceava on a comfortable car and drove us directly to the monasteries making interesting commentaries about the history of the region we were driving through.
