“Accommodating and knowledgeable guide granted us a fantastic day of monastery tour”
Reviewed on TripAdvisor on January 6, 2016 by Andy YAt 30/12, my girlfriend and me had a tour guided by Cip, the owner of "Hello Bucovina". It has been one of the most fabulous and memorable experiences throughout our two weeks of travel in Romania. Starting from around 9am, Cip drove us to visit four biggest monasteries. He had detailed and interesting explanations on the orthodox painting both inside and outside the monasteries. He is so accommodating in all senses, either to our junior knowledge on Christianity, our lack of understanding on the history of the Moldova region, and our stomach! We felt like friends throughout the whole tour, chatting all sort of things and stopped at some random spots for photos or so. He ended up bringing us to a great restaurant, one of his favorites, to try to best hamburger in Suceava! Indeed, it will be a shame if we didn't grab the chance to go with him! So don't miss it, a must do in Suceava!!

“Excellent tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide”
Reviewed on TripAdvisor on January 23, 2016 by Daniel GThis is my first TripAdvisor review. This is largely because I didn’t use the app much before I went on this trip. However, after my fantastic experience in Romania I felt compelled to write some reviews for the people who made it possible. Simply put, my experience with this guide was one of the best I’ve ever had.It was a last-minute decision to visit Bukovina and I was lucky that he was available. I asked for a day tour to see as many of the famous painted monasteries as we could. Man, did I ever get what I asked for. We set out at about 8 am and continued to drive from one monastery to another for the next several hours. The monasteries (and the other sights my guide recommended along the way) were incredible and they were made even better by the excellent explanations my guide gave.By the end of the tour my guide joked with the caretaker of one of the monasteries that I would have been able to give a tour of my own since we had gone over so much (about the significance of the paintings, about the history of the churches, about the history of the country). This was probably a bit of an exaggeration on his part but it helps to illustrate the detail he went into when explaining everything we were seeing. Every question I had was met with a detailed, informative answer. Every time we talked about a different region of Romania, I was met with excellent recommendations for guides, hotels and, of course, things to do.At the end of the day (when he kindly offered me a place to stay for a few hours until my train left) I not only felt I had just finished an amazing tour, but I also felt I gained a friend. Seriously, if you’re in the area, look these guys up. You’ll have an amazing time and the information you’ll recieve will continue to enrich your trip long after the tour is finished.
