Beautiful Monasteries on a Beautiful Day
Reviewed on TripAdvisor on May 31, 2015 by adventurenico from Kathmandu, Nepal The monasteries are rather difficult to visit without a car, so unless you have a few days to take local buses around the area a tour is the best option. we had a lovely, sunny day, and a friendly group which made for a lot of fun.

Excellent services for business trip and guided Bucharest tour!
Reviewed on TripAdvisor on June 3, 2015 by Claudiu B from Bucharest, Romania With the event of a global corporate meeting organized in Bucharest one day was dedicated to discover the beauty of the city capital in the hosting country - Romania. We advanced this request to Hello Bucovina Day Tours in organizing a one day tour in Bucharest and definitively this was a very inspired decision. Chip was very helpful and first assisted us in all the steps before doing the booking, with a handful of suggestions on how we could spend our one day Bucharest tour as enjoyable as possible.

If you don’t speak Romanian hire Ciprian
Reviewed on TripAdvisor on June 3, 2015 by woffordwise from Washington DC, District of Columbia We hired Ciprian (Chip) to give us a guided tour of the painted monasteries in Bucovina and the wooden churches of Maramures. Ciprian picked us up from our pensiune and treated us to breakfast at his favorite cafe in Suceava (the name escapes me, but it was pretty good) and talked to us to get a better feel for what we wanted to see. He clearly listened and we departed for the tour.

Wonderful trail of the top 5 monasteries of Sucheava, Romania
Reviewed on TripAdvisor on July 8, 2015 by 318Ome from Busan, South Korea My husband and I had a super tour of the top 5 monasteries of Suceava in Romania. Our tour lady guide & driver was a university graduate in Law who spoke perfect English, good safe driving in a reasonable car with seat belt, very knowledgeable with the top five monasteries that we were visiting, patient , very considerate about providing us enough time for pictures taking as well as maximum viewing of the sites especially with friendly rapport with some of the residents nuns and monks which made life smoother for us while visiting. Some of the wonderful frescoes both outside and inside the monasteries were so well painted and designed even though back many years ago were all very enlightening for us all.

“Excellent Experience”
Reviewed on TripAdvisor on August 6, 2015 by KenEsfrom USA The tour I took of the painted monasteries was fabulous. The guide was very knowledgeable and she provided a good balance between telling us about each monastery and giving us some time to walk around freely to take photos. I would definitely recommend Hello Bucovina Tours, it is run very professionally. The tour of the four monasteries was from about 9:00 until 17:00. The lunch on the tour was also very good, but if you order dessert (cheese pancake?), be aware the portions are quite large--consider sharing. I also stayed at the new hostel run by Ciprian, the owner of Hello Bucovina tours. The hostel was very centrally located in Suceava and it was quite clean and comfortable. Since I was spending three nights in the hostel I was even picked up from and dropped off at the train station.

“Very interesting trip around the Bucovine’s monasteries”
Reviewed on TripAdvisor on August 18, 2015 by Vertaroutardfrom Saint Ouen, France We were 2 and hosted by Irene's hostel (very nice staff by the way) which arranged our trip to the monasteries. It is a one day trip and we were drived by a guide and stopped to the 4 most well preserved painted monasteries, plus the blackware pottery factory, and a very nice romanian specialties restaurant with a charming view on the valley. Everything was wonderful, the colors of the paintings, the views during the road trip, the food, and our guide. and all of this only for 35 euros per person (lunch included but not the tickets to the monasteries, which were about 1 euro per entry). This is such a great offer for such wonderful memories. I take this opportunity to thank our guide, Adrien, one more time, for all the explanations he gave us, for all the answers, for his remarquable knowledge upon the subjects of the monasteries and the religion, but also the romanian way of life. We've learnt so much more during this one day trip than our precedent 2 weeks in Romania. Thank you again Adrien.

“Very good daytrip to Cernauti (Ukraine)”
Reviewed on TripAdvisor on August 30, 2015 by Gerard Kfrom Amsterdam, The Netherlands Ciprian, our guide, gave a good tour through the city of Cernauti in Ucraine. It was great to see the old Austrian-Habsburg city characterized by the buildings designed by the Czech architect Josef Hlávka. Incredible that this flourishing city has lost this from the start of WW-II.

“Fascinating tour”
Reviewed on TripAdvisor on November 29, 2015 by Stephen Lfrom North Yorkshire, United Kingdom A brilliant tour last month to the painted monasteries and beautiful countryside of Bucovina. Until I arrived, I didn't realise just how interesting, unique and artistically stunning the painted monestaries were. However, our guide Ciprian really brought them to life with his in depth knowledge of each one we visited, so much so that we not only gained an appreciation of the buildings, but also of the deep spirituality of so many of the people of the region. I had never been to Romania before this tour, but I heartily recommend this region to anyone. It may not be as well known as some regions of Europe, but it deserves to be placed firmly on the itinerary of any traveller.

“Commited to providing the best experience they can offer…”
Reviewed on TripAdvisor on December 9, 2015 by CaliforniaRoadmanfrom California, USA First, let me address a concern most of us have when searching the internet for a more intimate tour itinerary and we find that such tours are usually offered by local tour companies rather than the larger corporate brands, and then we wonder... if not immediately, then certainly as we are about to wire a substantial sum of money to book the tour... is this local tour company legitimate? And, as we experienced, in the case of Irene’s Travel, you will not find any other company that could be more honest and committed to providing you with everything you ask for.aWe hired Ciprian (Chip) Slemco for a two week tour through Moldova and Northern Romania, and our experience was everything we had hoped to find... and more. He was very personable and as he got to know us and what we are interested in, rather than insist on staying with our pre-arranged itinerary, he even offered modify our itinerary on the fly by suggesting that we take an excursion into Ukraine. We had not thought of doing that but we enthusiastically accepted. With his flexible attitude and his knowledge of the area we saw so many more things that suited our taste than we ever would have if we had taken a tour offered by a large tour company.Chip was totally accommodating and a great guide. And our tour included many more personal views of the region than any brand name tour could ever offer. (By the way, for clarification, the company name, "Irene’s Travel", is named after Chip’s wife Irene, while they use "HelloBucovina" as a more identifiable label for what they offer). We highly recommend their services.
